Prayers & Encouragement
One of the hardest things about traveling is leaving the ones you love behind and it can become harder as time goes by. We encourage all our friends and family back to home to constantly keep us in your prayers during our trip and leave posts of encouragements for the group. It’s always uplifting to hear from home; This page is for you to post personalized or general message of encouragement for the group and to remind you to be praying for us.

We are traveling to Gorom Gorom on Wednesday Morning for two and a half days and would appreciate prayers for a safe & healthy journey and return.
My name is David Deckert and I am an alumni of the Outtatown Program (’01-’02)
I’m so excited for all of you as you have travelled through many wonderful places and are now in Burkina Faso. It’ll be a whirlwind for sure.
I was a practicum student in Burkina 4 years ago and loved my time there. The further you get from Ouaga the less Moore and more Dioula you will here. I spent most of my time in Orodara. It is a wonderful place. Give greetings to the Mennonite church there if you could. Say hi to Nicodeme, tell him that I remember him and his brother Josue.
If you want Mangoes or Bissap (hibiscus tea) then go to the Coopake, an agricultural cooperative in Orodara. It is a cool place.
Again have a great time in Burkina Faso.
David
